Writing your own reference
If you had to write yourself a reference letter, what would you say? How would that reference letter look different than the one your best coworker, boss, or friend would write? The best references I've ever given came from a place of love. I shared the magic that that person brings into the world as a human, not just as a worker—their real skills. The best references articulate the unique superpowers a person brings when they show up as their true self.
It can be harder to name your own uniqueness, yet the hard work of understanding your values, gifts, and why is worthwhile, important work.
