I need a break

Why do we use such a violent, sudden, forceful word when describing our need for some “me time”?

Why is a break a part of our day that’s broken and separate, instead of cohesive and part of the complete puzzle?

Is it the break that needs a reframe or the way we use our time before speaking up to say, “I need a break”?
